Weather-Based Irrigation Controller (WBIC) Exchange – 4/2/16
The South Bay Environmental Service Center is sponsoring an irrigation controller exchange in which residents of the West Basin Water District service area can exchange their old sprinkler controller for one that meters the water based on weather conditions. Doing so would reduce water usage by up to 30%, improve the health of your landscaping, and reduce run-off into the oceans.
Date: Saturday, April 2, 2016
Time: 8:15 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.
Before you register for the WBIC Exchange, you must satisfy the following requirements to participate:
- Reside within West Basin Municipal Water District’s service area
- Possess a “manually-programmable” (i.e. does not use a weather-sensing component) irrigation controller
In exchange for your irrigation controller, you will receive the following:
NOTE: If you are planning on programming your irrigation controller for more than 4 stations, you can purchase additional expansion packs (4 stations each, up to 16 stations total) for $30 each at the WBIC Exchange.
Please attend the WBIC Exchange with your irrigation controller and a copy of your water bill according to the following schedule:
- 8:15 A.M. – Registration check-in begins
- 9:00 A.M. – 30 minute training
- 9:30 A.M. – Controller exchange
