PV Democrats September Meeting

Join us for our in-person September club meeting.  Our meeting starts at 2:30 pm, but join us at 2 pm to chat with other Democrats.

We’re revisiting a theme we presented a year ago:  What’s Happening With Our Schools – A Panel Discussion

During his August 19 Townhall at the Peninsula Library, Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi shared a story where he asked students what is their primary issue, and they replied “the bathrooms” they’re terrible, please fix them.  While Muratsuchi is sponsoring a Facilities Bond to address this problem, our discussion will be focusing on the far right’s heated attempts to change the school narrative to book banning and student pronouns.

The speakers’ panel participants will be:

Also joining us are leaders of the PV Students Environmental Advocacy (SEA) group who recently led a Youth Climate March in Wilmington to address the concentration of refineries near schools in Los Angeles.
