Tim Dixon:
I am a lifelong democrat and I live in Rancho Palos Verdes.  My wife Erin O’Connor Dixon and I recently retired. My wife was a south bay attorney for the past 29 years. After completing my studies at UCLA, I represented workers for the past 40 years as a union negotiator for IBEW.

I have been an activist with the democratic party, including serving as an active member of our IBEW political action committee, a past board member of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Committee on Political Education and I have worked to support democrats through grass roots organizing, phone banking and door knocking.

I was a past president of the California State Association of Electrical Workers where I lobbied in Sacramento for working people.

I believe that democracy is on the ballot in this election, and I want to get involved in any way I can!

Tony Hale:
I’m endorsed by Congressman Ted Lieu and Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi to be one of our delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

As a three-time president of the Palos Verdes Democrats, I helped develop one of the largest precinct operations on the hill to fight our then Republican congressional representative Dana Rohrabacher.

I have been consecutively elected as your Executive Board Member of the California Democratic Party for more than a decade.  But, I have never attended an in-person National Convention. So, this is definitely on my bucket list.

Over the past 15 years, I have run campaigns that have elected Democrats all over Southern California, including the campaign that stopped 40 oil wells in Hermosa Beach.  Just last month, my two Torrance City Council candidates won their elections and denied the Republican mayor a majority on the council.

With your vote, I will represent California in Chicago.

Thomas Jankowski:
My name is Thomas Jankowski and I’m running for district-delegate to represent CA- 36 at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago later this year.

First, a little about me. I grew up in PV and graduated from Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in 2018 and Brown University in 2023. Throughout high school and college, I worked across the political process, from organizing a mayoral campaign in Oklahoma (and getting the highest Democrat voter turnout in Tulsa history) to working in the Rhode Island State Treasury for now Congressman Seth Magaziner and interning for Congressman Ted Lieu in DC last year!

From lobbying Sacramento for increased funding for PVPUSD to working on behalf of our district in Washington D.C., I want to build on my high school and college public service and give back to my community, city, and country. And I need your help to do it.

Caryl Schwartz:
I am excited to announce my candidacy as a Delegate to the Democratic Convention this August. As a passionate advocate for progress I am dedicated to representing our values and voices effectively.

With a background serving as an elected ADEM representative to the California Democratic Party (CADEM) and holding the position of Activism Chair for PV Dems, I have actively contributed to various political campaigns and initiatives at both local and national levels.

If you are a registered Democrat, I kindly ask for your support by requesting a ballot through the link provided below and casting your vote for me. Your participation is crucial in shaping the future we envision together.

Please share this email with your friends and family residing in Ted Lieu’s District. Thank you for your consideration and support. Together, we can may a difference.

With our common goals in mind,

Connie Sullivan:
After a stint in the Peace Corps and a career in government, I jumped into Democratic politics in 2009, by joining the board of the Palos Verdes Democrats and eventually serving as your President for a total of 5 nonconsecutive years.

In 2010 I was invited to join the Los Angeles County Democratic Party as an alternate and from there I assumed more and more responsibility, eventually serving as Assembly District Chair, Elections Protection co-chair, CADEM Executive Board Representative and Policy Committee member.

In May of 2023, at the California State Democratic Convention, Region18 elected me as their Regional Director, representing Assembly Districts 55, 57, 61 and our 66th. For this delegate election, I’m endorsed by Congressman Ted Lieu and Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi.

I feel I’m ready to represent you at the Democratic National Convention and would be so very honored to have your vote.
