This last week we lost long-time PV Dems member Marilyn Weiker. She passed away on Tuesday, January 11 after a month-long battle with pneumonia. Marilyn is survived by three children, a son in law, and nine grandchildren.
Marilyn served on the PV Dems nominating committee as well as the hospitality committee (unfortunately she was on the latter committee in 2019-2021 when the coffee and cookies were virtual). Mostly, Marilyn loved hearing the speakers and comparing their presentations to the information she acquired as a voracious newspaper reader.
Marilyn has been described by former PV Dems President, Rascha Hall, as “the woman who is always smiling.” That’s how we should remember her, always smiling. May her memory be a blessing.
