During the months of July, August and September the California Democratic Party will be focused on the recall election of Governor Newsom. They instituted a coordinated phone banking campaign for volunteers statewide to help the Stop the Recall campaign. They conducted their first day of action on Saturday, July 24 and will conduct one each Thursday through September 9.

The Los Angeles Democratic Party had a very brief (one-hour) meeting in July with very little pending business, other than voting on legislation to support or oppose. The list of ballot measures and bills is very long and can be seen on the LACDP.org website under the Legislative Action Committee tab. The list includes AB 650, a bill authored by Al Muratsuchi that will provide COVID-19 hazard premium pay for healthcare workers.
