August 16 – Supreme Court 2019-2020 Review with Judge Tom Long
Once again, we are delighted and grateful to have Superior Court Judge Tom Long walk us through the video of UCI (University of California Irvine) Law’s 2019-20 Supreme Court panel discussion of the decisions and provide insight as to how these rulings will affect us. Tom is a graduate of Stanford Law School, has been a Superior Court Judge since 2015, and will be up for re-election in 2025. Visit our calendar for more details and a link to the video.
September 20 – Getting Smart about the Nov CA Ballot Propositions
The League of Women Voters will be presenting pros and cons and who’s funding what for each of the November CA Ballot Propositions.
October 18 – Vote Like Your Life Depends On It
We will be screening Brave New Films (BNF) Suppressed 2020: The Fight To Vote, (37 mins). Afterwards, Robert Greenwald, Founder and President of Brave New Films (BNF), will answer our questions about the film, which was updated to include some of the voter suppression tactics prevalent during this year’s election cycle, and scheduled for an August release.
