• We depend primarily on dues to pay for vital donations to Democratic candidates!

Dency Nelson, from Beach Cities Democrats, announced their club elected new board members in June.  They meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month, 7:00pm-9:30pm, and all their upcoming meetings are via Zoom.  Dency and Connie Sullivan also told us the names of who are pledged delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, August 17-20 — called a “Convention Across America”.

Connie Sullivan asked us to attend the 2020 JFK Awards ceremony being held virtually from Los Angeles, Saturday, July 25, 7:30pm – 8:30pm.  The JFK Profile in Courage Honorees are Kathy Griffin and Senator Kamala Harris. Check out the participants and ticket details at 2020 JFK Awards.

Carol Moeller shared her text banking training with MoveOn.   She said their one-on-one instruction is personalized, non-threatening and easy, even for us seniors.  Members of the Rossmore Democrats in Northern California have made it their mission to give time and expertise to get enough people texting to make a difference. You don’t squint at your phones to do this….you can send texts via laptops, and you don’t need any experience in texting (in fact, the only part of this that really resembles actual texting is that voters receive these messages on their phones).  It’s really fun connecting with voters!  This is a great way for Democratic activists to safely spread our message.   For training and information, contact Susan at stlewis@amihome.com.  Here’s their blurb:
