SB 254 Would Put an Overturn Citizens United Statement on the Ballot

The California Supreme Court did rule that Californians have the right to vote on a ballot measure telling Congress and the legislature to pass an initiative overturning Citizens United!

But, at the same time, they refused to actually put Prop 49 back on the ballot — saying that the legislature would have to pass another bill to put it on the ballot again.  Now there’s SB 254, a new bill that will put the Overturn Citizens United Act back on the ballot.

SB 254 is having its first do-or-die committee vote this Wednesday, April 27th, so now’s the time to ask that committee to pass it.
