Walk for Betty Lieu For Torrance School Board

Betty Lieu, wife of our Congressman Ted Lieu, is running for a seat on the Torrance Unified School District board.  She is having a couple of campaign events that you might want to consider participating in.   One is a walk this Sunday at noon, and the other is a phone bank this Monday evening.

Betty is a wonderful candidate for this seat, having volunteered for years in the district and serving as an Executive Board Member of the Torrance PTA and an Executive Board Member of the Torrance Education Foundation, and starting enrichment programs and clubs at schools in the district. For her efforts she’s been awarded a PTA Honorary Service Award and the James Armstrong Leadership Award.  She’s also served as a on Torrance city commissions and worked as a Deputy Attorney General.  She’s super-qualified and ready to serve as a school board member.
