PVP Democrats Monthly Meeting

The PV Democrats will he holding out monthly meeting on Sunday, June 23 in the Community Room at the Peninsula Center Library. Please come early–we gather at 2 pm to socialize with like-minded democrats. Also, remember that the new parking ramp is now open (between the library and the Promenade) and the upper level is intended for library parking and provides access without stairs.

This month, we will be discussing highlights from the recent California Democratic Party State Convention in San Francisco.

One of the resolutions considered at the convention was a boycott of the Terranea Resort.  Come hear from Terranea workers and their allies at UNITE HERE Local 11 to hear about the fight for justice at Terranea Resort.

Multiple women have come forward with allegations that they experienced sexual harassment or other misconduct while working at the Terranea Resort. The Terranea, located in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, is owned by a joint enterprise of JC Resorts and Lowe Enterprises.

A growing coalition of individuals and organizations, such as California NOW, the Feminist Majority, and the California Democratic Party, have pledged to stand with the Terranea silence breakers by boycotting the resort.
