PV Democrats January Meeting

Join us for our virtual January club meeting. Our meeting starts at 2:30, but join us at 2 pm to chat with other Democrats.
The theme for this month’s meeting is Continuing to Reimagine Criminal Justice
Our featured speakers are:
Judge Tom Long of the Los Angeles Superior Court will speak about the cash bail system and the deteriorating judicial infrastructure.
Paul Seo, former Deputy District Attorney (DA) for the LA County DA’s Office (from 2015 – 2021) and currently CA Deputy Attorney General (AG) for the CA Department of Justice, will speak about his time in the LA County DA’s Office and his current assignment in the AG’s Special Prosecutions Section, specializing in officer involved shootings. Paul is also an elected member of the LACDP, 66th Assembly District since March of 2020.
This is a much needed meeting to help clarify some of the criticisms about this topic. I did not vote for Gascon, but I did not sign a petition to recall him either.
