PV Democrats February Meeting

The theme for this month’s meeting was Connection Before Content – What is Working Well With Online Learning

Our panel, shown below comprised of educators, presented and discussed what has been working well with online learning, what were some of the obstacles, and what online teaching methods should continue after the students return to in-person teaching.

Megan Crawford — PVPUSD board member and Parras Middle School 6th Grade science and Good Eats (cooking elective) teacher in the Redondo Beach Unified school District

Todd Shadbourne — Elk Grove Elementary 6th Grade teacher (teaches all subjects) in the Elk Grove Unified School District (south of Sacramento)

Varo Asorian — Millikan High School AP Macro Economics and Marketing teacher in the Long Beach Unified School District

Brent Kuykendall — Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (PVPHS) Principal

Sarah Liu — Palos Verdes High School (PVHS) Senior and PVPUSD Student Board Member

Lisa Larson — Miraleste Middle School Comprehensive Counselor
