The Palos Verdes Democrats August 21 Zoom meeting began with announcements and a preview of the September and October meetings.

Connie Sullivan, PV Dems President, thanked Anita Vaccaro and her entire crew for our successful and wonderful annual July picnic.
Connie announced the opening for a new Membership Chair board position. If you are interested in the position, please email us through our website. Irene Silver, who has done a great job in this position for many years is stepping down. Breaking news – a few days after our meeting, Andrea Goldman volunteered to be our new Membership Chair.

Friendly Reminder…PLEASE renew your 2022-2023 PV Dems membership. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30 and we depend primarily on dues to pay for vital donations to Democratic candidates, room and equipment rentals, meeting refreshments, and our annual picnic. 5:12 Reggie Jue, PV Dems Webmaster, spoke about the website’s new From Our Activism Chair link on the website’s Home page. Caryl Schwartz, the new PV Dems Activism Chair, created a list of things that you can do that is now listed under From Our Activism Chair under the Take Action tab. This will be an on-going effort to keep people up-to-date on opportunities for making a difference.
