SIX STATE LEGISLATIVE CHAMBERS FLIPPED FROM REPUBLICAN TO DEMOCRAT:

Colorado Senate
Maine Senate
Minnesota House
New Hampshire House
New Hampshire Senate
New York Senate

REPUBLICANS LOST SUPER MAJORITIES IN FOUR CHAMBERS

Michigan Senate
North Carolina House.  This is important because now they cannot over ride the vetoes of the Democratic Governor
North Carolina Senate
Pennsylvania Senate

DEMOCRATS FLIPPED 7 GOVERNORS

Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico
AND THE BEST: we retired Scott Walker in Wisconsin!
What was once 33 Republican and 17 Democrat Governors is now closer to an even split-26 Republican and 24 Democrat

DEMOCRATS PICKED up 6 TRIFECTAS

(They control the Governor and both chambers of the State Legislatures)
Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Nevada, New Mexico, and New York
We now have a total of 14 Democratic trifectas of course including California

DEMOCRATS BROKE 4 REPUBLICAN TRIFECTAS

Kansas, Michigan, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin

DEMOCRATS FLIPPED FOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS

Colorado, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin

DEMOCRATS FLIPPED Two SECRETARY OF STATE OFFICES

THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

The largest number Of seats gained since Watergate in 1974

37 DISTRICTS FLIPPED AND STILL FLIPPING:

CALIFORNIA: 6 flipped, including 5 in Southern California. Orange County, Reagan Country. is
now BLUE . Most important for those of us who used to be represented (?) by Dana
Rohrbacher, he was defeated by Harley Rouda. Last I heard, it was a sizeable margin- – 53% – 47%.
PENNSYLVANNIA: 4 flipped Democrat but 1 flipped Republican
VIRGINIA: 3 flipped
NEW JERSEY: 4 flipped
NEW YORK: 3 flipped
TEXAS: 2 flipped (1 pending)
FLORIDA: 2 flipped
ILLINOIS: 2 flipped
IOWA: 2 flipped
MICHIGAN: 2 flipped
GEORGIA: 1 flipped (1 pending)
OKLAHOMA: 1 deep Republican district flipped
SOUTH CAROLINA: 1 flipped
WASHINGTON: 1 flipped
ARIZONA: 1 flipped
COLORADO: 1 flipped
KANSAS: 1 flipped
NEW MEXICO: 1 flipped
MAINE: 1 flipped. Maine, in fact all New England, is now BLUE. The last surviving Republican in
all of New England was defeated.
MINNESOTA: 2 Republican Districts flipped Democrat, but 2 Democratic seats flipped Republican
It is clear that Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin are back in the Democratic column!

There is still much more work to do, and in the words of Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.
