United States Senate
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Democrats are proud to announce that the both of our United States Senators are Democrats!
Senator Dianne Feinstein was first elected to the United States Senate on November 3, 1992. She was most recently reelected on November 6, 2012 and will be up for reelection in 2018.
Currently, Senator Feinstein is the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, and serves on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Senate Committee on Appropriations, and the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.
At the other extreme from the veteran Dianne Feinstein, Kamela Harris is serving her first term, having been elected in 2016.
A lifelong public safety and civil rights leader, U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris was the first African-American and first woman to serve as Attorney General of California and the second African-American woman to be elected to the United States Senate in history.
