The Los Angeles Times Runs a Series of Editorials About Donald Trump

During the run up to the 2016 elections, the LA Times Editorial Board called Donald Trump “unprepared and unsuited” for the presidency of the United States.  More than 2 months into the Trump administration, the board wrote a series of editorials beginning with the observation that “nothing prepared us for the magnitude of this train wreck.”

While the series ticks off specific issues of concern, the board notes that in spite of the many initiatives that act contrary to the good of the nation, the most worrisome issue is the fact that Trump himself is “so unpredictable, so reckless, so petulant, so full of blind self-regard, so untethered to reality that it is impossible to know where his presidency will lead or how much damage he will do to our nation.”
